Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise endpoint and server infrastructure. This is a hands-on senior-level role responsible for patch management, system upgrades, vulnerability remediation, endpoint management, Windows Server administration, and infrastructure lifecycle management. The ideal candidate has experience supporting 1,000+ endpoints, managing production environments, troubleshooting complex deployment issues, and executing infrastructure changes with minimal business disruption.
Key Responsibilities
Manage enterprise patching across Windows/macOS endpoints and Windows/Linux servers.Administer Microsoft Intune, SCCM/Configuration Manager, and Azure Update Manager.Plan, test, deploy, and monitor OS patches, security updates, feature updates, firmware, drivers, and BIOS updates.Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities, critical CVEs, and patch compliance issues using tools such as Microsoft Defender.Administer and maintain Windows Server 2016–2025 environments, including patching, upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.Analyze deployment logs and troubleshoot failed patches, software deployments, upgrades, and endpoint/server issues.Develop and execute testing, deployment, rollback, and recovery procedures for production changes.Coordinate maintenance windows, change activities, and production upgrades with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams.Maintain accurate infrastructure inventory, configuration, patch, and lifecycle documentation.Identify systems approaching end-of-life/end-of-support and support upgrade or replacement planning.Develop PowerShell automation to improve patching, administration, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
5–8+ years of experience administering enterprise endpoint and server environments.Experience supporting 1,000+ endpoints and multi-server environments.Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM/Configuration Manager or equivalent.Strong Windows Server administration experience, preferably 2016–2025.Proven experience with enterprise patching, OS upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.Experience with production change management, testing, deployment, and rollback processes.Ability to analyze logs and resolve complex deployment and system issues.Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to support scheduled after-hours maintenance when required.
