Job description
This is an engineering-level position rather than traditional desktop support. The ideal candidate will have experience building and deploying packages through SCCM, configuring and testing Group Policy, and troubleshooting endpoint issues at a Tier 3 level. The team needs someone who can contribute quickly with limited training.

Responsibilities
Build, test and deploy application packages using SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager.Manage enterprise endpoint configuration, software distribution and security patching.Identify and remediate endpoints that are not receiving required applications, patches or updates.Configure, create, test and deploy Group Policy (GPO) across enterprise Windows environments.Troubleshoot complex Tier 2/Tier 3 Windows endpoint, application, hardware and connectivity issues.Support endpoint management across desktops, laptops, tablets and other corporate devices.Support and troubleshoot Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune and related Microsoft endpoint technologies.Assist with endpoint security remediation and vulnerability-related patching.Create and maintain scripts using PowerShell and/or Windows batch scripting.Support imaging, application deployment and endpoint configuration initiatives.Collaborate with infrastructure, security, Service Desk and other IT teams on endpoint-related projects and issues.Document configurations, troubleshooting procedures and technical processes.Work independently and manage assigned engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager, including the ability to build and deploy software packages.Experience configuring, creating and testing Group Policy (GPO), not solely troubleshooting existing policies.Strong Windows desktop/endpoint engineering background.Experience with enterprise software deployment, security patching and endpoint remediation.Advanced Tier 2/Tier 3 troubleshooting experience.Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft endpoint/user technologies.Experience with Intune or comparable endpoint-management platforms.PowerShell and/or Windows scripting experience.Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure and cloud-based endpoint technologies.Ability to troubleshoot independently and contribute in an environment where the existing endpoint engineering team has limited bandwidth for extensive training.Strong communication, documentation and collaboration skills.Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
