Job description
(approximately 50 users). This is an onsite role, 4–5 days per week. You
will be the primary onsite IT presence, managed directly by our Senior
Network Engineer (who handles advanced support and implementation remotely).
Strong performers will be offered a full-time position at the end of the
contract period.
This is a great fit for an early-career IT professional who wants hands-on
responsibility and direct mentorship from a senior engineer.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on desktop and laptop support for ~50 end users:
troubleshooting, imaging, deployment, and setup
- Support the Microsoft environment: Windows 10/11, Active Directory,
Microsoft 365, and Entra ID (user/group administration)
- Basic Azure administration: user provisioning, license assignment,
MFA and Conditional Access support
- LAN support: TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS fundamentals, patching, and hands-on
troubleshooting of switches and wireless access points
- Own the onboarding/offboarding process: accounts, hardware, peripherals,
and documentation
- Maintain asset inventory and ticket documentation
- Escalate complex network and infrastructure issues to the Senior
Network Engineer
Requirements
- 1–3 years of IT/desktop support experience in a Microsoft environment
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID
- Basic Azure administration experience
- Solid LAN fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and laptop hardware
troubleshooting
- Able to work independently onsite with remote senior oversight
- Strong communication skills and a genuine customer-service mindset
- Must be able to work onsite in New York City 4–5 days per week
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice to have
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft AZ-900 / MD-102
- Microsoft Intune / Autopilot experience
- Ticketing system experience (ServiceNow, Jira, ConnectWise, or similar)
