Responsibilities
Performs installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned technologyManages system/application environment and ongoing operationsEnsures that the technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and applications that meet enterprise standardsResearches, designs, implements and tests technology solutionsProactively monitors and reports performance and utilization of assigned technologiesTroubleshoots software and/or hardware issues/failuresResolves alerts and performs remediation activitiesManages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systems/software ownersCollects and presents data for reporting and planningAssists with developing tactical strategies, processes and procedures related to systems/application administrationDetermines migration and upgrade impacts and diagnose/resolve complex technology/application errorsCollaborates with IT and business area partners on work groups and initiativesDetermines best course of action for meeting business needsMay provide input into infrastructure architecture designsWrites programming/scriptingMay participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercisesEnsures execution and alignment to architectural standards and blueprintsMay contribute input to infrastructure architecturePerforms on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologiesResponsible for proper escalation, communications, and management of production system problemsContact vendors for problem and incident resolutionRequirements
5 years managing and supporting Apple macOS, iOS and iPadOS devices in an enterprise environmentPrior experience working in healthcare, health insurance or financial environments as it relates to HIPAA, PCI, SOC2, HITRUST and CMS ComplianceBachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experienceExtensive working knowledge of multiple technologies and their interfaces and integrationCompetent working in one or more environments highly integrated with an operating systemExtensive experience implementing and administering/managing technical solutions in major, large-scale system implementationsHigh critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategyAbility to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilitiesAbility to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performanceAbility to communicate technical information clearly and articulatelyAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentNice-to-haves
JAMF Certified Administrator or higher-level JAMF certification requiredAdvanced working knowledge and experience managing JAMF Pro, including policies, configuration profiles, smart groups, patch management, extension attributes and API/scripted automationAdvanced experience with Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment (ADE), and Apple's Volume Purchase Program (VPP)Advanced experience with macOS imaging, packaging (PKG/DMG), Jamf Composer and scripted software deploymentDesign and administration of zero-touch deployment and MDM enrollment workflows for Mac, iOS and iPadOS devicesExperience implementing Declarative Device Management (DDM) alongside traditional MDM payloadsStrong knowledge of macOS security and compliance baselines (FileVault, Gatekeeper, System Integrity Protection, CIS benchmarks)Experience integrating Apple devices with identity/SSO providers such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID, including Platform SSOExperience with patch and software deployment automation using AutoPkg, Installomator, or MunkiExperience deploying and maintaining endpoint security/EDR agents on macOSExperience with Apple Configurator for supervised device workflowsMultiple Site supportConfidence supporting 10,000 plus user site/sitesWorking knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP as they relate to device binding and authentication integrationInstallation, management and administration of SSL Certificates leveraging JAMF Pro as well as external enterprise toolsWorking knowledge of SSL/TLS protocols, standards and methodologiesWorking knowledge of networking fundamentals as they relate to endpoint deployment, including VPN, 802.1x, proxy, and DNS/DHCP for zero-touch enrollmentStrong PowerShell and Bash/shell scripting experience, including JAMF API scripting for automationStrong knowledge of Apple device implementation and management in a clinic environmentEvaluates current procedures and processes for accomplishing department objectives and continuously develops and implements improved practicesBenefits
