You will also support system upgrades and deployments, monitor system health and capacity, assist with security controls and compliance activities, and collaborate with IT teams across network, security, applications, and help desk functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, manage, and maintain servers, operating systems, and key applicationsApply patches, updates, and configuration changes in accordance with change management proceduresPerform routine system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuningDiagnose and resolve system, application, and network-related issuesProvide advanced technical support for escalated issues from help desk and Tier 1 teamsSupport user account management, permissions, and access controlsInstall, configure, and deploy new systems, applications, and toolsAssist with system upgrades, migrations, and integrationsDocument system configurations, procedures, and standardsHelp implement and monitor security controls, including antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls, and access managementParticipate in audits, risk assessments, and remediation activitiesUse monitoring tools to track system performance, availability, and capacityRespond to alerts, incidents, and outages and perform root cause analysis and corrective actionsPrepare reports on system health, incidents, and improvementsCollaborate with network, security, applications, and help desk teams on technical initiatives and projectsContribute to IT process improvements, standards, documentation, and system architecture improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with system administration and maintenanceExperience supporting servers, operating systems, applications, and enterprise IT environmentsStrong hardware troubleshooting skillsExperience providing remote technical assistance and remote desktop supportAbility to diagnose and resolve system, application, and network-related problemsExperience with system monitoring, performance, availability, and capacity managementKnowledge of system security controls, access management, endpoint protection, and firewallsExperience supporting system upgrades, migrations, patching, and configuration changesStrong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and teamwork skillsAbility to support escalated technical issues and provide guidance to less experienced personnelMust be able to work Wednesday – Sunday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AMMust be available for the initial training schedule of Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
High School Diploma or GED and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience; ORBachelor's degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience
Certifications:
Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level I requirements
