Job description
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in systems engineering and enterprise VDI deployment.OR a master’s degree and 5+ or more years of relevant experienceOR an associate’s degree and 9+ or more years of relevant experienceOR a high school diploma and 11+ or more years of relevant experienceProven experience leading the design, administration, and technical support of enterprise-scale VDI environments (VMware Horizon, Omnissa, or Citrix).Strong background in hyperconverged infrastructure, virtual storage management (vSAN/SAN), Active Directory Group Policies (GPOs), and virtual desktop optimization.Experience maintaining system baselines, configuration management controls, and automated patching schedules.Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical engineering documentation and virtual infrastructure architecture diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), Citrix Certified Associate/Professional (CCA-V/CCP-V), or CompTIA Security+.Prior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations, Combatant Command environments, or Department of Defense enterprise technical environments.Familiarity with DoD STIG compliance, user profile management tools (App Volumes, DEM/UEM), and automated software deployment platforms.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary engineering teams in fast-paced operational environments.
Clearance Requirements
Must hold a current/active top secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
