Job description
He/she/they will play the leading role in the patch management of servers (physical and virtual), and finding/remediating any vulnerabilities as reported from our primary sources in Head office, the VPM Manager, IT Security or from vendors.
SCCM- Patch Management Engineer will work closely with senior Server administrators, the VPM/EOL manager, and Head Office teams on VPM related tasks and projects. Must have in-depth knowledge of Windows Administration, Virtual Infrastructure and various patching and overall security concepts, technologies, and best practices.

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Overall Responsibilities
Monitor and manage automated Windows patching. Triage with Head Office MECM engineering team.Management and testing of MECM application packages with the VPM manager.Remediation of software vulnerabilities on Windows and Linux servers through on-demand patching or removal.Development and deployment of Active Directory group policy to remediate other vulnerabilities discovered on Windows Servers, as well as hardening of third-party applications and services.Reporting of vulnerabilities on all Server, Storage, and Database team assets, which includes Windows servers as well as Linux/Unix and VMware hosts, appliances, and virtual machines. Coordination and escalation of vulnerability remediation both domestically and globally.
Management of Proactive Vulnerabilities Detection and monitoring
Perform in-depth analysis of head office data provided by Splunk and Qualys. Develop reconciliation processes between the data sources and work with Head office on resolution.Enforce and follow policies and procedures for VPM projects in AMER, exercise best practices in system patching/installation, configuration, and system monitoring.Collaborate with the local/global IT teams to accomplish short- and long-term goals, manage the project plan for local patching and execution processes, and actively participate in all project phases.Qualifications:
