Duties
Develop and implement robust SAP system architectures aligned with business needs and IT strategies.
Manage and optimize SAP environments, including system tuning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy SAP solutions integrated with other enterprise systems using RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architecture principles.
Oversee system administration tasks such as user management via Active Directory, server backup and recovery, configuration management, and system security protocols including information security measures.
Automate routine tasks through scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python, or Shell Scripting to enhance efficiency.
Monitor system health using load balancing techniques, RAID controller configurations, and network management tools such as VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and computer networking protocols.
Support software implementation projects by configuring SAP modules alongside other enterprise applications like Pegasystems or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
Conduct technical troubleshooting support for complex issues involving operating systems (Windows Server administration, UNIX), virtualization platforms (VMware, Kubernetes), and cloud services (Azure).
Maintain detailed documentation of system design changes, configuration management records, and incident reports to ensure compliance with best practices.
Experience
Proven experience in systems engineering with a focus on SAP environments or similar enterprise software solutions.
Strong background in system administration storage management including RAID controllers and server backup/recovery strategies.
Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as operating systems (Windows Server, UNIX), virtualization (VMware), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Azure).
Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python or Shell Scripting for automation purposes.
Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, T-SQL for database configuration and troubleshooting.
Expertise in network security protocols including VPNs, firewalls, DNS/DHCP configuration for secure data transmission.
Ability to design scalable solutions using microservices architecture with RESTful APIs and API management tools.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to facilitate collaborative project delivery.
Demonstrated skills in system tuning for performance optimization across diverse operating environments.
Experience supporting IT infrastructure components like Active Directory management and system architecture design is highly desirable.
