Senior MDM Engineer

Job description

The position combines advanced platform engineering expertise with the strategic responsibilities of defining standards, guiding practices, and driving the adoption of modern methodologies.

This role requires technical leadership, strong architectural judgment, and proactive initiative that elevates operational excellence across the organization.

You can expect to spend your time accomplishing the following:

Provide senior engineering support for Microsoft Intune and Omnissa Workspace ONE environmentsLead architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of MDM solutionsSupport existing state government customers and complex endpoint management environmentsDevelop standards for device enrollment, compliance, application delivery, and endpoint securityProvide Level 3 support for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra Connect, IAM, and SecurityDefine MDM roadmaps, service standards, and modernization strategiesIdentify automation and operational improvement opportunitiesDevelop MDM go-to-market offerings and customer solution frameworksProvide technical leadership and mentoringCollaborate with cloud, security, infrastructure, and service delivery teamsServe as the senior escalation point for endpoint and Microsoft 365 engineering issuesThis role provides domain leadership, technical guidance, and best-practice stewardship across the engineering organization

Your knowledge & Expertise

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and/or 7+ years of enterprise MDM experiencePreferred Certifications:Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator ExpertMicrosoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator AssociateExpert knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Omnissa Workspace ONEStrong Microsoft 365 administration and engineering experienceExperience with Exchange Online, Entra ID, Entra Connect and IAMUnderstanding of endpoint security, compliance, Conditional Access and Zero TrustStrong customer-facing communication and project leadership skillsExperience with Android Zero-TouchExperience building managed service offerings and go-to-market strategiesITIL experience and managed services backgroundStrong technical leadership; able to guide teams and influence best practices at scaleExceptional cross-functional communication — able to translate complex systems behavior into clear, actionable insightsHighly collaborative, comfortable working across platform, application, security, compliance, and operations teamsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving orientation, especially in high-pressure or time-sensitive incident contextsContinuous improvement mindset with a bias toward automation, reliability, and operational excellence
