Job description
The ideal candidate is both technically deep and operationally minded—capable of analyzing telemetry, building automated remediations, collaborating across IT teams, and driving measurable improvements in the employee digital experience. This individual will work onsite at the ExxonMobil campus, partnering closely with multiple engineering, support, and operations teams to operationalize insights and accelerate issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Nexthink Engineering
Manage and optimize Nexthink configuration, governance, and feature onboarding.
Promote Nexthink adoption and best practices across IT and business units.
Ensure data quality, reliable telemetry, and consistent use-case development.
Design and maintain Nexthink dashboards, NQL queries, DEX Score views, and leadership reporting metrics.
Use Case Development & Observability
Translate endpoint telemetry into actionable insights that reduce “frustrated users.”
Build and deploy experience-driven use cases to enhance:
endpoint observability compliance visibility performance monitoring digital experience measurement
Continuously analyze data to identify patterns, degraders, or emerging issues.
Automation & Remediation
Develop advanced Remote Actions using PowerShell (including script signing and guardrails).
Build automated workflows through Nexthink Flow to enable proactive and self-healing remediations.
Create user-facing campaigns to guide self-service or gather targeted feedback.
Trigger or coordinate incident escalations and remediation workflows across teams.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Operational Enablement
Serve as a DEX advocate by working with endpoints, networking, application, security, and service management teams.
Integrate Nexthink insights into IT operations and enterprise initiatives.
Provide clear communication, documentation, and influence to drive action based on data.
Support leadership through KPI tracking and experience analytics (DEX Score, performance trends, compliance posture).
Required Technical Skills
Nexthink Expertise
(Or equivalent experience with Splunk or similar observability platforms)
Advanced Remote Action development (PowerShell, automation chaining).
Nexthink Flow workflow design and system integrations.
Campaign creation, user engagement strategies, and remediation logic.
NQL query writing, dashboard development, and DEX Score interpretation.
Deep understanding of endpoint telemetry, device health signals, and digital experience metrics.
Scripting & Automation
Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities (diagnostics, remediation, automation-at-scale).
Experience with REST APIs, authentication, and platform integrations.
Troubleshooting & Endpoint Performance
Skilled in Windows OS performance analysis and root-cause troubleshooting.
Ability to correlate endpoint, network, and application performance signals.
Understanding of device health fundamentals (CPU/memory pressure, disk I/O, startup times, resource contention).
Analytics & Reporting
Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
Experience converting telemetry into insights, KPIs, and actionable recommendations.
Dashboard creation for both technical and executive audiences.
Workplace & Cloud Knowledge
Familiarity with modern device management ecosystems (Intune, MECM/SCCM, M365).
Understanding of cloud concepts (Azure preferred).
