Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job description

The ideal candidate has a strong infrastructure engineering background with deep hands-on networking expertise and experience supporting modern cloud-first environments. This individual will own network architecture, provide Level 3 escalation support, guide infrastructure strategy, and drive network and security modernization efforts.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support enterprise network and infrastructure solutions across on-premises and Azure environments.Lead Azure networking initiatives, including VNets, ExpressRoute, VPNs, NSGs, Load Balancers, Azure Firewall, and hybrid cloud connectivity.Administer and optimize Zscaler platforms and support the organization's Zero Trust networking strategy.Configure and manage Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate firewalls, SD-WAN, VPNs, and security policies.Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex networking and infrastructure issues.Oversee and provide technical guidance to the Managed NOC and external service providers.Drive network modernization projects focused on security, cloud adoption, performance, and scalability.Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to improve overall platform reliability and security.Conduct root cause analysis, implement preventative measures, and maintain technical documentation.Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.Strong hands-on experience with Azure Networking and hybrid cloud environments.Deep expertise with Zscaler and Zero Trust networking principles.Advanced experience with Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate firewalls and SD-WAN.Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols, including BGP and OSPF.Experience supporting:LAN/WAN environmentsVPN technologiesNetwork segmentationWireless infrastructureCloud networkingExperience troubleshooting complex enterprise networking and infrastructure issues.Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Broader Azure infrastructure experience, including compute, storage, monitoring, and identity services.Experience with SASE/SSE architectures.Cisco Meraki experience.Experience working with managed service providers and outsourced NOC teams.Relevant certifications such as:Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)Fortinet FCP/FCSSZscaler CertificationsCCNP Enterprise
