Responsibilities
Install software and computer images.Deploy hardware.Repair computer hardware and troubleshoot network connectivity.Provide technical assistance for personal computers and mobile devices.Purchase hardware and software from vendors when required.Establish and maintain professional relationships with agency customers.Requirements
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.One year of experience tracking, responding to, and resolving Help Desk calls from users in an organization with extensive program integration and reliance on technology.Ability to lift at least 25 pounds without assistance.Analytical and organizational skills, ability to communicate technical information to customers, and customer service skills.Candidates may substitute additional qualifying experience responding to and resolving computer help desk calls or operating computer equipment for the required education on a year-for-year basis.Candidates may substitute nine credit hours in personal computer applications at an accredited institution for the required experience.Candidates may substitute completion of a computer repair certification program, such as CompTIA A+ or an equivalent program, for the required experience.Candidates may substitute qualifying U.S. Armed Forces non-commissioned officer experience in Cyber and Information Systems classifications or specialty codes in the Information Technology field on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.Nice-to-haves
Experience installing, troubleshooting errors with, and supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Google app products.Experience installing, troubleshooting, and resolving errors in Microsoft Windows operating systems.Experience configuring and troubleshooting errors with iOS devices.Experience installing, troubleshooting, and replacing laptop and desktop peripherals and hardware.Benefits
