DSS has a constant increased need for the provision of full systems life cycle applications development on various computer platforms, including a variety of client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, etc., that are critical to the operation and functioning of DSS programs, requiring periodic refinements to maintain the applications at optimum service levels. Having a project portfolio which properly reflects the user's business needs and DSS' workload is crucial. Therefore, there is a need for IT consulting resources for the expanding responsibilities at DSS. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain the Agency's SCCM infrastructure, including SCCM Primary Server, databases, Secondary Servers, Distribution Points, clients, packages, and reports. Perform routine maintenance of the SCCM infrastructure and continuously monitor and adjust its various components. Design and build SCCM applications, packages, and software patches for deployment across the Agency's 21,000+ computers. Support software deployment activities that enable end users to perform their day-to-day functions supporting the people of New York City. Manage and maintain the Microsoft Intune environment supporting devices that are not connected to the local network and communicate through the Internet. Use Microsoft Intune to support mass application installations, device security policies, remediation, patching, and device reporting across approximately 6,000 agency laptops. Interface with internal and external groups to obtain feedback regarding package requirements and deployment reporting. Ensure SCCM activities continue to meet the changing technical and business needs of the Agency. Ensure SCCM servers, hardware, and software components are operating accurately and efficiently. Troubleshoot SCCM infrastructure, server, hardware, software, and deployment issues in coordination with infrastructure teams and external vendors. Use MSIEXEC to manage software packages for deployment through the SCCM infrastructure. Troubleshoot issues with various infrastructure teams and vendors. Required Skills: A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets: Knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Sccm system. Microsoft Windows operating systems Knowledge of other operating systems similar to Apple Mac OS Experience with installation and troubleshooting Windows Applications. Knowledge and experience troubleshooting various computer hardware and software issues Knowledge of SQL and programing languages and theories.
