Position Overview

The contractor will serve as a Microsoft Intune and Enterprise MDM Specialist

They will be responsible for planning, configuring, implementing, and supporting the mobile device management and endpoint management environment with Microsoft Azure/Entra and Intune

Responsibilities include configuring device enrollment, compliance policies, conditional access, application deployment, security baselines, Apple Business Manager Integration, Android Enterprise integration, migration support, troubleshooting, documentation, knowledge transfer and implementation recommendations aligned with state, federal, and agency security standards

The contractor will work collaboratively with IT staff to modernize and streamline mobile device deployment and management process.

Required Skills / Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management
• Experience implementing Mobile Device Management solutions in enterprise environments
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
• Experience with Apple Business Manager, Apple DEP/ADE
• Experience configuring Conditional Access, compliance policies, and device security policies
• Knowledge of M365 administration and endpoint security best practices
• Experience with device enrollment, application deployment, and policy management
• Ability to troubleshoot enrollment, synchronization, and device compliance issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience documenting technical processes and providing knowledge transfer to staff

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Experience working within state government or public sector environments
• Experience migrating from Meraki or other MDM platforms to Microsoft Intune

Experience with Windows Autopilot and endpoint provisioning

• Familiarity with STIG, CIS, or other security compliance standards
• Microsoft certifications related to Intune, Azure or Endpoint Management
• Experience integrating mobile device management with ticketing or asset management systems
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation

Ideal Candidate

Based on the required skills and the evaluation criteria, the strongest fit is an experienced Microsoft Intune / Enterprise MDM specialist with hands-on ownership of enterprise device-management implementations rather than someone whose Intune experience is limited to general Microsoft 365 administration

The ideal candidate should have particularly strong experience across:

Microsoft Intune + Entra ID + Enterprise MDM Implementation + Apple Business Manager + Android Enterprise + Conditional Access + Compliance Policies + Enterprise Device Enrollment

The strongest candidate should also be able to demonstrate hands-on experience troubleshooting enrollment, synchronization, application deployment, policy, and device-compliance issues while creating technical documentation and transferring knowledge to other IT staff

Experience with Meraki-to-Intune migration, Windows Autopilot, STIG/CIS security standards, PowerShell automation, Microsoft certifications, public-sector environments, and MDM integration with ticketing or asset-management systems would make a candidate especially competitive

The evaluation places the greatest emphasis on Intune, Entra ID, and enterprise MDM implementation, followed by Apple Business Manager, Android Enterprise, security policies, and enterprise device enrollment/configuration
